Enterprise Revolution is set up to work with local communities in the North East of England initially promoting and educating on the benefits and skills of becoming self employed.

The business has developed a grant fund which will be given to people on a local basis, people who need financial help when setting up a business. The business is not exclusive to, but works with a majority of people who would be classed as living in a disadvantaged area.

The business is looking to start several not for profit Enterprise Centres across the North East bringing together commercial acumen and funding to the area of enterprise and the regeneration of local communities and areas which have been previously categorised as disadvantaged.

The business will offer bespoke training, looking to up skill local communities and many members and businesses in the voluntary sector working in the local communities, looking at how these businesses can become self sufficient whilst making the biggest impact on the communities in which they work.

The Enterprise Revolution is looking to engage with as many individuals and businesses in local communities and linking them together to foster an entrepreneurial culture, whilst looking at the education and expansion of horizons for local children and teenagers.

The business will also be running community based projects based around older participants 50+, looking to re-engage with job and wealth creation, utilising their experience in building knowledge and beacons for communities.

Lastly the company will be working with community leaders and other businesses, commercial, public sector and voluntary and putting together projects of aspiration and community growth and development, based around a community or individual being in charge of their own destiny.

The business will be forming a community, commercial, public and voluntary forum to address the needs and barriers facing many of the these communities including high levels of worklessness, poor aspiration and development of a community focus to re-imagine the places people live and work.
